Revenge is a TV show that follows the life of Amanda Clarke as she seeks to revenge the death of her father and the frustrations she has passed through because of the loss. The series premiered in the screens of ABC in mid October 2011. Amanda hides her real identity and starts as Emily Thorne when she begins to hunt on The Hamptons.

Amanda saw her father being arrested, tried and convicted for reason that led to his death in prison. She strongly believes this is what destroyed her life. Later on, she was sent to juvenile prison. Amanda inherited her father’s wealth at the age of 18 and that is when she changed her name to Emily. The show takes us through her quest to revenge the death of her father when she gets to everyone she knows was involved in bringing her dad down.

Revenge 1.20 “Legacy” Review

This episode of the show was titled ‘Legacy’. It contrasted with that of last week as it was more spaciously paced. Last week’s episode started off from the blocks flying and all the viewer could do was to hold on. But what this episode did was to even go back to the days when Emily was known as Amanda Clarke.

One of the very first things to greet fans of the show was Jack’s new look. All he had was a haircut and that made all the difference. He should not sweat over his girlfriend leaving him for Nolan since she was clearly more inclined to his purse. But the next girl he had a relationship with was a psychopath. He clearly has not been having much luck in the girl department.

It turns out that it was Nolan who put Emily on the path that she has been on for the past ten years. He wanted to rescue her from herself and convinced her to read those journals. It was the journals that started it and he got more than he bargained for. The good thing was that he was utterly dedicated to the task of looking after her when David Clarke made him to make the promiseto and he did find what he could call success at the very end.

Emily had been keeping vigil on the Grayson’s like some wild beast just waiting to pounce. But they did not help themselves that much because it looked like they would destroy themselves even before she does.

Roger did himself in by talking to Emily. He was the weakest link and Frank was not going to allow him to live. And Frank is one of those characters that made a return to the show.

Lydia too showed up and it may have come as a shock to some that she was the one that prepositioned Conrad. So Conrad is having an affair with his friend’s wife and now neighbor. It would be hard to convince anyone that Victoria chose to destroy her husband out of love. That is turning every known moral principle on its head.

The same thing can be said of Treadwell who still goes about with a sense of self justification. This is a man who relies on his success, wonder how he would hold up if something happens to any. It looks like some fans would be wishing that Emily had done more that burn his home and the manuscript.

Emily dad did not want her anywhere near the Grayson’s but that is the very place she walked into. She is dead set on her scheme to revenge.
